Unfortunately, the idea of using water as fuel is only nice in theory. The major problem about using it would be that governments and fuel companies would monopolize on the sources of water and tax it to the -unth degree. It's what they do with oil and petroleum. Gas used to be really cheap here in the states until the taxes on it when up. Now, a lot of places are charging $3-4 for a single gallon of gas (I'd convert this if I could).I don't disagree that this idea would be cool, though.

Just bend over, light a match and cut loose...you'll see the power of gas first hand...okay, so that's not Hydrogen, its damned funny tho'....

it really sounds like it's against everything people learn in chem class. it's not getting picked up because people don't pick up blatant & obvious lies. reuters obviously doesn't think, they just make news and let others do the thinking.

only problem is with water cars is the hydrogen fuel cells that they use. A wee bit tempermental...tap it with a hammer and you get a mini-Hiroshima. I would rather use petrolium products.....I won't blow to high heaven if i hit a speed bump
