Yes one processor can be used. Use google to find forums where people can more easily make recommendations. My recommendation is that if you are indeed a noobie and have common sense, Don't go this route. Go with another setup. Skulltrail is grossly expensive and completely undeeded. Not gonna tell you what to do. Only what I and most other people would do.

ok need real help here; just almost bought a intel core 2 extreme qx9775 and found out that the only motherboard that supports it is the skulltrail yes i am a real newb anyway all is not lost cost the skulltrail costs 659 dollars however can it be ok to just have 1 qx9775??? (because it is primarily designed for 2 qx9775's?) PLEASE HELP

well, if u want to have intell (or u have a 775 socket), so u should take a cor to extrem Processorif u have a AM2 or a AM2+ socket, u should takce a AMD 64 Athlon X4 Precessorthis processors, which i tells u are quad core processors ^^

Installing the CPU is a piece of cake. It was installing the bloody fan that was a pain in the ass. Had to turn the screws to get it to tighten, though they say don't. |
