Yes I have bought a few items before when I used to play it but that doesn't mean I regret it. It's the consumers choice to buy it or not. everybody! we are reaching 1 million views on youtube with this machinima. OK, i admit, it's rather crappy, but hey, this was two years ago. Perhaps we should do a new version, my voice over actor is now 12 instead of 10, and yes, the framerate is a bit better ;-) Anyway, we'll do a big party next week or so, when we reach the 1 milion. guess where. You can join and play for free. You never have to spend a dime, in fact you can earn/win Lindens in the game. As far as 'spending there is a waste', is a hobby a waste of time and money? You can take language lessons there. Universities are in SL. Retailers are also, and authors (you can buy and read books online there). I don't know what the person means, who says companies market to people who are not online. Just about everyone IS online these days.
