I agree also. We ALL have our opinions and simply, some are going to like Gavin better, some will like John better and then some will like other people who've covered this better. Well put, I agree entirely. This really shouldn't offend people at all. No one is trying to shade Lennon out of his much deserved credit. No one can deny the legend that he is, and who would want to? Lennon will always be the reason this song exists, and just because He is no longer with us, doesn't mean that others cannot continue to honor his greatness by letting his music live on. I think Gavin did this song great justice. That's my opinion. And if you don't agree, that's fine too.

I know my name is GavinFan08 and everything, but I personally think Gavin covers this song better than Lennon. Dont get me wrong, Lennon did a great job. Just Gavin adds more twists and seems like he puts more emotion into it...and not to mention that the piano playing is done beautifully. I'm sorry if I offended anyone, but it's just my opinion. They both are amazing talents, but Gavin has John beat from my view.

Oh I see now... yeah you couldn't have gotten that more wrong. That was the last third of what I originally wrote. I was saying that at the time he sang this song he was still a newly discovered artist. And Lennon had been around for years with the Beatles before he was on his own. The Beatles gave him a great start. Gavin came out on his own, and at the time was very impressive. I no longer share the opinion of his greatness, But I do acknowledge his potential of talent. *my opinion*

i honestly don't know...i was half asleep when i commented this :/ and i have all three as well..being a HUGE degraw fan, ni must say i was dissapointed in the last album slighty...wasn't as great as the wait made me think it would be.

What? I haven't commented on this board in Several months, and I am unable to view which comment you are referring to. But just so you know I don't claim to have known him the longest, but I have known of him since the fall of 2003. I own all three albums, The first one I've had since I've heard of him... the second I bought the day it came out. I stopped liking him before the final album was released. When it FINALLY did, it only confirmed my disinterest. He's good but I've heard way better.

how can you see he is a tool.you are an idiot.he's just singing a song and he's got an amzing voice.that makes him talented and I personally much prefer his version to Lennons. If you dont like the song then say thaat, dont say things about him personally cos you dont know him.
