"if you try to take the toaster apart wile its puged in, YOU ARE A RETARD!" priceless XD

I have a BS from MIT in electronic engineering, trust me the frequency range is not sufficient. This can be done but not with a toaster and a 40 channel walkie talkie.

you probably did it wrong, it worked for me@
Dot2TheLock (June 25, 2008 at 6:22 am)
this rocks im going to post some videos of me doing it worked and was way to easy

Do drive thrus use different tones? Anyone have any info on that?
headandarm (June 24, 2008 at 7:02 pm)
Do not try this its fake! I modded 2 TRC-207 CD Radios with the 6.5536 Mhz Crystal and it didn't work. That crystal will not put you any where near operation range needed not to mention most use FM not AM.
bexteck (June 23, 2008 at 10:47 am)
No, unless you find a toaster that has some kind of microprocessor in it (very expensive), and then the crystal will probably not be accessable anyway.
bexteck (June 23, 2008 at 10:45 am)
Yes, realize that you can't swap out crystals of different frequencies and expect a radio to work. The tuned circuits in the CB are designed for CB frequencies (around 27MHz) and will not work at the frequencies thta most fast food restaurants use (around 150MHz or 450MHz). Also, CB radio generally uses AM modulation, and fast food places will be using FM modulation, so two systems are incompatable even if you could change the frequency of the CB and get it to work.

Hahaha, gotta love the chaos in the end recording. |
