Spirit album .."future games"...been looking for this episode... thanks for posting. Looking back at how badly acted and made the original ST was.. it still is a fantastic series and worth watching again.

They were probably just so used to women having less rights than men that they didn't even think about it... I'm sure there are lots of things that will change in the future that makers/writers of science fiction today don't think about, simply because they're so used to the way it is now that they don't consider that it might change.

I agree. This was a very cheesy ep, except it was fun seeing William Shatner playing a woman, and guest star Julie Smith (who was seen not so much) was fairly good. I do think it was interesting though that in 2360's they wouldn't have let women be starship captains? That just doesn't seem to forward thinking, now does it? |
