PHEV 1000+ miles on a tank of gas

This is the 17th day of driving since I got my PHEV Prius five weeks ago. On that day I topped the gas tank and have not filled it up or added any gas. Today I reached 1000+ miles on this tank of gas. The gas gauge is showing 20% full. At this rate it will be the end of next week before I will fill it up and figure out what my MPG has been on this tank.

My electric bill has increased by $12. My gas savings each month has been over $50.

Even though sales of Prius have continuesly been going up every year, Toyota is charging more each year. they have increase the price by over $5,000 sence '02. Why, there might be some good reason for this, I believe it is what they think we will now pay for them. Following the increased interest of hybrids. Also driving sales for there other gas vehicals.

How much has this increased your electric bill?

I have the Hybrids Plus kit. The phev-15 is all you need if you drive less than 30 miles a day. The phev-30 works great for me since my commute is 60 miles a day.

What kit did you buy. and how much of difference do you beleive the other kits make.Prius-PHEV-15 or 30

The thermodynamics of heat exchange, and mechanical losses need to be considered in an air car. All these effects may reduce the overall efficiency to 40% or less. However, the compressed air car seems to be an affordable option for clean short range transportation. But a plug-in hybrid is not noisy, battery recycling is a standard practice like recycling aluminum, more likely to use lighter Ni-MH or Lithium than PbA, and Battery charging is an overall 85% efficiency.

That sounds like Seattle rain.

Search for AIR CAR on You Tube:This technology has 2 big advantages over plug in hybrids. 1) No toxic, heavy metal batteries to worry about. The engine is made of recyclable aluminum. 2) Under breaking, a compressor will be able to capture nearly all of the energy and put it in the tanks. Batteries can't charge that fast and half of the energy is lost.

whoa!just amazing! I just wonder how much that would cost for the PHEV conversion though.
