i bought some of this microscopic magnetic liquid, you can buy it online at a fairly cheap price (for science materials) 125ml costs about 34 bucks, its also used in electronics and computers

its called ferro liquid. i made some and left it alone for about a half a year or mabe even a year and it crystalized
