I KNOW. I'd only seen the newest version, and I was looking and waiting for he scene where he jumps in the lake, but it never happens..... And I watch this one... but I sorta expected more from what Ive heard.And I have to agree with you. I think matthe mcfayden fits mr darcy more just by the cold, distant way he has. Somehow I find colin firth to be a bt too lively and awkward being that supposedly 'cold' character of mr darcy.

he looks so helpless when he meets her! i think this is the best version. in the 2005 movie couldn't find any chemistry between this two characters.

filmed in lyme park in cheshire, beautiful place to visit if you havent ever been, we tend to go a few time a year.

This version is so much better than the movie (even though some of it was filmed in my home town). Keira played lizzie totally wrong and Darcy is performed so well by Colin Firth. Compare it to Harry in Mamma Mia and you wouldn't believe they were played by the same actor! He's fab...
