I laughed when the fan caught the ball....cartoon way before that guy at the baseball game who caught the ball from the outfielder.

I almost forgot... some scenes of the coach frantically smoking like 10 cigars and him pacing back and forth was also recycled from the football short.

Some scenes are refrences to an early short 'How to Play Football". The beginning music was recycled, and the scene with the coach swallowing his cigar ['This is a REAL blow to the coach.'] was recycled too.
