Based upon Mark Millar's explosive graphic novel series and helmed by stunning visualist director Timur Bekmambetov—creator of the most successful Russian film franchise in history, the Night Watch series—Wanted tells the tale of one apathetic nobody's transformation into an unparalleled enforcer of justice. In 2008, the world will be introduced to a hero for a new generation: Wesley Gibson. 25-year-old Wes (James McAvoy) was the most disaffected, cube-dwelling drone the planet had ever known. His boss chewed him out hourly, his girlfriend ignored him routinely and his life plodded on interminably. Everyone was certain this disengaged slacker would amount to nothing. There was little else for Wes to do but wile away the days and die in his slow, clock-punching rut.Until he met a woman named Fox (Angelina Jolie). After his estranged father is murdered, the deadly sexy Fox recruits Wes into the Fraternity, a secret society that trains Wes to avenge his dad's death by unlocking his dormant powers. As she teaches him how to develop lightning-quick reflexes and phenomenal agility, Wes discovers this team lives by an ancient, unbreakable code: carry out the death orders given by fate itself. With wickedly brilliant tutors—including the Fraternity's enigmatic leader, Sloan (Morgan Freeman)—Wes grows to enjoy all the strength he ever wanted. But, slowly, he begins to realize there is more to his dangerous associates than meets the eye. And as he wavers between newfound heroism and vengeance, Wes will come to learn what no one could ever teach him: he alone controls his destiny. http://www.blacktree.tv

It borrows form the Matrix, but it's got a deeper meaning than all those eye candy action shots. FOr me it's already a cult classic up there with Blade Runner and 12 Monkeys.

Thanks for understanding. I'll probaly watch the movie pretty soon here just to rewatch it. Maybe I'll have a different opinion. Alot of my favorite movies i hated when i first saw (RE-ANIMATOR).

ok fair enough.. When you put it that way i can understand what you mean, not every movie is for everyone, and i guess for me the flow of the previous conversations with other commenters made me misread your comment!

Look, all in all, i really didn't mind it. I love the director who also made the "cool, stlyed, crazy" vampire flicks; Nightwatch and Daywatch. I seriously love movies that are off the wall obsurd!!! I own so many books on weird and obscene cult movies, that it is ironic that i am being harassed for not just watching movies as entertainment! i watched the movie with a bunch of my friends who all loved it. I just didn't care for it. It could be because i've seen the director's better work.

actually this movie was really good, there lots of actions films out there which except explosions and other crap have nothing to it but this movie had a good plot ,action, pace and point, loved it

I don't understand your logic. You actually watched this movie in any other view than entertainment? That's exactly what it was! It wasn't supposed to be deep, logical, scientific...it was PURE entertainment. It's sad that you have to be drunk to realize that!

OK, try taking your head out of your ass before you watch it, then maybe the movie and the world in general will start making sense to you.
