It's generally referred to over dubbing. Someone backstage is listening to her voice and if she starts to crack out they can kick the backup singers up louder, or a dubbed pre-recorded version. Its common with all singers now, even country. You get a better live performance.

Madonna's concerts are the best but through the years,there were less and less dancing. Blonde Ambition was the best,Girlie Show the runner-up,these 2 didn't have any fancy big screens for videos.The production numbers relied on dancing and theatrics. The succeeding tours relied on big screens to produce the effect, there were less dancing but more live singing from Madonna. But I like Madonna not for her singing. It's the performance, the dancing, the theatrics. I wish she'd go back old school.

i dont think it wasnt lipsynci think she doubled her voice with computer.but she sang it.
