Well, they were never desinged for looks, they are there to create downforce and everything else is secondary. This is a homologation special built for the sole purpose of homologating it to rallying Group A.I like this car more than perhaps anything else on four wheels, but yeah, sometimes I think those wings look ridiculous. It was available without the rear wing from 1994 onwards, yet still I think I would never want one without it. It just belongs there, part of it`s character IMO.

Why doesnt ford make cars like that now? The answer is because they never did. Escorts (post 1990) were and are made by mazda which is good by me... a JDM GTR pushing 210BHP stock in a escort (bout $1200 for complete conversion) sounds good to me... oh yah miata suspension is good to.
