Once upon a time, this was the greatest technology invented. Computers (people which computed) did tons of tables with these things. Then came the ENIAC, which did a problem (the problem of the possibility of a hydrogen bomb) which took computers 40 hours in just 20 seconds. Then came the PC which did the same task in 0.001 seconds.

These were made by the Brunsviga Maschinenwerke of Braunschweig, Germany, the same people who produced Brunsviga calculators.

(Sorry xq no se si lo mande antes...) Hola. Acabo de conseguir una calculadora mecánica como la que muestras en el video (Minerva), y no tengo ni idea de como usarla. Tan solo consigo hacer sumas y restas, y por azar. Llegué hasta aqui tras ver tu comentario en "barrapunto.com" donde te referías a un manual de un modelo parecido que te sirvió de ayuda... ¿Podrías decirme donde puedo encontrar info sobre el uso de la susodicha máquina?... Gracias.

Wow. that is a crazy machine. you gota wonder just how much the machine is capable of, and how hard it was for the guy to make.. id like to see the parts moving around inside.. |
