No, this is Ewa Podles. Although imagine if Kathleen Ferrier had lived or tried to sing this aria, as Ewa does. She'd be devastating, in a good way though.

I believe they meant in the original key, as this is transposed down to better suit her range. (Nothing wrong with transposing music, but sometimes the music can come out not as good to others who are used to the original key)

I think a slight puff of air is alright and not annoying, but a blatant H is annoying, like in Pons' "Una voce poco fa".

Me encantó esta versión de Ewa. Nunca había escuchado una interpretación en un registro tan bajo. Me recordó a la fantástica contralto francesa Nathalie Stutzman. Sin embargo sigo prefiriendo la versión de la Von Otter
