The Eastern Orthodox Christian Church of Sun Worship has confiscated grain and food from the the peasants, and indulged in the secular pleasures of the butt.

Byzantium was never part of "The West." It always was (and still is) part of The EAST. Same goes for the Ancient Greeks. The Greeks have NEVER identified with the English or Germans (or any Northern Europeans). They saw them as savages without civilzation or writing. The Greek spirit has always been Eastern.

A greathes part of the cultural heritage of Byzantium come to the West ahead in the Renaissance, and they becoming an important background for the news ideas to be grouw up in the Western universities. Its very important for the Westerns make ahead a cultural contact with his Eastern heritage, the last Roman Empire, Byzantium.

You seem like someone who just likes to argue. Got too much time? The "Byzantine rulers" you mentioned were Christian, and so were the inhabitants of the Byzantine Empire and the majority of the population in the Levant in the 11th century. Those, especially the Orthodox "Rum," were persecuted because they remained loyal to Constantinople. The Byzantines asked for help from Rome because they had no other choice. If you think Muslims have a "RIGHT" to dominate us, then this conversation is over.

Judging from your page, you are a fan of Stalin (you are an athiest Jew as well I bet), a murderer of tens of millions of Christians in Russia. I should thus treat you like a Jew would treat any fan of Hitler. Historical facts are enough evidence against your biased anti-Christian and radical leftist fabrications which go against truth. No Orthodox Christian liked the Crusaders, but there were real reasons to send them, and they were a reaction to an Islamic threat which had to be confronted.

BTW, "Seriousdudes" thumbs down are pathetic considering he offers nothing in terms of contrary evidence.

I never stated they originated there, just that they conquered those lands. How about you read what I wrote rather than standing on your soapbox? As for the crimes, the crimes were asymmetrically committed by the Christians. Where did the Jews seek refuge?, with the Muslims. The Christian Crusaders were busy executing them. The Byzantine rulers certainly didn't want the Christians in the First Crusade.BTW, my version of the history is the truth. |
