Ohhh the Gt series is so sort after that if you were to have a GTHO Falcon you could retire very easily, the XBGT still pulls over 120,000 for a mint cond unit

The XB GT was a classic Coupe351 cleveland with a top loader 4speed box 9" limited slip diff the movie that stared Mel Gibson started his climb to stardom and a move to the statesThe Main MFP office where a lot of the movie was done is still standing beneath the westgate bridge in Melbourne

Hah, the magazines are not my sources. That and of course there's American input, but there's a reason there's Victorian numberplates on the cars running around the Nurburgring and not Michigan ones. :)

ninjafatballz (October 5, 2008 at 1:15 pm)
yea i like the G8 it looks like it could be a fun car for sure. i do NOT like the camaro though. and i seriously doubt it is being engineered without american input i care not what your magazines say.
ninjafatballz (October 5, 2008 at 1:11 pm)
i am def. NOT biased i love cars and i dont care who makes them. and i almost fell over in the floor laughing when you said the GTO was too advanced for the american market lol! what kind of crack are you smoking?! and too say you would rather drive a hyundai than a corvette is ludicrous and i dont believe you honestly.
axesent (October 5, 2008 at 7:36 am)
you dont have to like pricks like me.thats fine. I won't lose sleep over it. The GTO was taken out because it was to advanced for the US market. Personally The only Aus built car I would have would be an XA/XB Falcon Hardtop. I would drive a Hyundai before I jumped in a US built car tho. Saying i'm bias is moronic considering you are too!! Everyone can have an opinion..thats fine...BTW I am european.....

Australian and American cars aren't much alike anymore, actually. And the GTO had a lot of great things about it -- people just didn't want it. Ever driven one properly? And what about the G8, hm? Or the G8 ST? How about the new Chevrolet Camaro -- which is being entirely engineered in Australia? Do your research before you point fingers. :)
