I agree...This is THE BEST version. Cilla sings it with "soul" Dionne does not have. Sorry, D. I miss that live version she did with Burt. Can someone re-post it?

Ethel Merman ?????? She was a natural voice . Its powerfull ,her emotion, her unspoken understanding of the words , the vibrato E' Natural capito. Dion Warwick is a flea compared to Cilla.

Sure I've got this on Cilla's 'pop history' or whatever ,

Cilla Black's version is too "Ethel Merman-ish" for my taste. She yells the song. She doesn't sing it. When she hits that first "all about", I cringe. And a vibrato that sounds like she's sitting on an out-of-balance washing machine. Dionne's version is the best.

I believe Dionne Warwick's version is MUCH better

Cilla hit perfection on this cut, NO ONE WILL EVER COME CLOSE!

Yes, it was removed, MUCH to my chagrin. I have been searching for it on tape or DVD. I believe it was taken from an Public Broadcasting program in the USA devoted to Burt Bacharach. I would pay dearly to have a copy of that! Spectacular piece that captures a great moment in musical recording history.

What happened to the live version she did with Bacharach? In the studio? Was vid removed?
