Mankind should learn a lot from him.

Although the download was not so good, but Sri Sri's message is very inspiring. If the people of Iraq, & other players involved feel Tit for Tat is the only solution, eye for an eye is the only solution, they only have to look into the history & see where all this has led to. Hatred, violence are never the solution, but are the problems that need solution in the form of univeral LOVE & compassion.

I'm growing in admiration of his words and deeds. He does it all so effortlessly. He seems to spot all the blind sides in people's knowledge, and expresses things so simply and wisely. He's so uncomplicated and effective.

ALthough he did not mention it. Believe me, SSRS does know the genesis of the strife and hatred in Iraq. Regardless of the origin, the residue is anger, hatred, feeling of worthlessness and depression leading to spiralling violence. And one needs to focus on treating that..semantics and causes can be debated ad nauseam

The courage and fearlessness required to realize and see this very obvious truth comes through the disciplines of tapas,non-attachment,self-sacrifice all made possible by first finding compassion. This is love, the message of non-violence.Or, more simply put, choosing to care and look out for the well-being of another (as God does in provinding for each of us) before ourself.

Not correct.Stated poignently in Bhagavad Gita, whatever action one takes is in effect an action. If one keeps continuing to react with aggression, the person who is wise sees this is being caught in an ongoing, neverending cycle.Only chance to affect this cycle is to introduce,by taking away in this case, another wave of conscious energy.Choosing not 2 be led away into a forceful reaction,is itself a reaction, and potentially the most powerful reaction of all, capable of lasting transformation.

if everyone thinks the same the world will all be the same, if everyone thinks negatively the world will be negative, Positive thinking=Positive world

Iraq has not been and NEVER torned apart by different religions as the CNN naive anchor stated. Iraq has been torn apart by the USA-UK-Israel-Iran collaborative. All the miseries and killings would cease the minute this savage collaporative leaves IRAQ. Sri Ravi Shankar should have corrected her had he really knew what IRAQ is really all about.
