I'm from the states and have in the last couple of months have been updating and researching the last 10+ years of Jamirquai (Jay Kay-since he primarily writes and directs the band's direction) and have become SO into his style as an artist and performer and the way he presents himself to media etc. I think he has a longevity to his music that is constantly evolving and I just hope he takes care of mind, body and spirit enough to continue on what could be an even longer musical career.

but in Austalia and UK Jamiroquai is a VERY popular known band. Just like say Nickleback (URGH!!) or One Republic is in the states.with Jamiroquai shitting all over those two ofcourse =D.Americas majority of mainstream music, is just overproduced pop.
