It might just be 'based on'... Does anyone know what kind of storyline this will have? I'm guessing it won't be a remake of EOE, as most people have never even heard of the series so the plot would seem very random. And I guess they're generalising everything so that it appeals to a wider audience... although I hope the pilots are still children.

this looks great!the only thing i have a problem with is how they went a lil overboard with unit 01 (based on the artwork)....at least IMOcharacter looks are bound to change when a show tracends from animation to live action so do expect some dissapointment

I read somewhere that this movie is going to take awhile, as the producers want to do it right.As far as i'm concerned, i'll wait a little longer so the movie can be made how it should be. I'm glad WETA are making this, they should do it right, if they take the same approach as they did with LOTR.Can't wait for this movie :)

Same with Asuka...she looks like an adult in the art.It seems like they're changing the names too...they're basically westernizing the film.
