Take-off with more flap setting due to short runway (specially with an heavier take-off weight), this allow you to take off with in less meters and lower speed but also with a lower rate of climb, so (in AZ there are many military pilot) keep the nose down, gear up and increase the speed with a following better rate of climb.

the nose angle is extremely low at the beginning, and picks up altitude very late in the takeoff sequence

Yes, realy nice take off. Must have been cool onboard that plane! We went with SAS and MD-82 later and had a more "normal" take off.:-)
