the guy looks pissed when he tries to smoke. JAL needs to reword some of its phrases... "Please watch this video for you safety instructions." Sounds weird and "Oxygen Masks will appear when needed" makes me think the the masks are going to definilty fall on my flight.

You are free to use any electronics once you've been notified by the crew, just as long as it doesn't emit electronic signals; e.g.: turn-off the wi-fi, for phones, set to plane mode or turn it completely off.

I flew with Ryanair and kept my phone on airplane mode and listened some music :)
