G position capo 2 is key of A. G position is common in the Piedmont style. Check out Rev. Gary Davis, Blind Blake, Pink Anderson, and Blind Boy Fuller

thats the first time i've heard blues done in key of G, it's usually done in E. Or maybe he is on the second fret G, which would make it A...can't really see
