i think that metallica took note at the fact that they grew up and that the tastes in music changed and when ya have a family and children you do that but you ALWAYS GO BACK TO YOUR ROOTS !!!

I agree with the sane people here, Metallica fuckn rocks! Hears 1 reason why. "Death Magnetic" was their 5th album to debue at number 1, not their 1st or 3rd but 5th. Last time i checkd that was a record. Btw what album is this song from?

one of the better songs from metallica in their 2nd epoch. after james started taking his voice seriously, their sound changed.

This song is great, and if you dont like it, listen to something else. Its not our fault your narrow minds cant get passed the first 4 albums. All of their song are played from the heart, the whole band plays from the heart, METALLICA RULES! A real Metallica fan would not trash them, and support. METALLICA RULES!

The people who think Metallica were trying to be more successful and commercial by having a lighter feel to Load & Reload are narrow-minded. They fail to acknowledge the fact that they were extremely successful by making their first 4 albums pure thrash metal. They had already gained a large fanbase and they knew this. They didn't make Load & Reload to sound more commercial. They simply wanted to branch out to a style of music that caught their ear.But St Anger is just bad. Bad. Horrible.

This song is proof that metallica is truly musically skillful. although their songs tend to be mostly minor chords with a few major chord resolutions, they can play a variety of music, going rock like this song (and sounding good at it), as well as the typical metal that they play.
