Alpha centauri is better than civ4, just played them both and AlphaCent is still better.

In the middle betwean Civ2 and Civ3 is Advanced Civilization 2 with good graphic.But the best is alpha centauri - just the greate game!

1.6ghz , 512 ramshould be enough to run a game made in 2005...anyway it's irrelevant since civ 2 is always the game listed in 'top 100' games lists and not civ 4.civ2 is just a better game.
