I'm working on the documentary about Blaze and I've heard similar stories. He was apparently deep into his addictions and demons in the late 80s in Austin. One close friend of his told me they saw him steal the tip she left on a restaurant table! But his early life is remembered by many as sweeter and purer, giving what he had to others. Sweet and sour!

Haha! I can imagine someone who lived in a dumpster selling some friend's shit in order to buy some food, knowing that the friends would forgive.

My old girlfriend said Blaze would come over to their place (don't wanna name drop on other musicians),BUT Blaze stole some shit 9hint hint) outta their house after overstaying his drunken welcome. All was well after they caught up w/ him in town later..intresting..makes me go, Hmmmmm....???
