It's too bad it's only a tech demo. Looks like fans won't be seeing an FFVII remake anytime soon since Square themselves showed a lack of interest in making the remake.

well believe it's a tech demo cause that's all it is. lol. Everyone at Square has already showed their lack of interest for remaking the game. This was just to show what the Square staff can do with the power of the PS3. Basically what Ringx55 said. lol

Kra tá certo que antes do ff vii os rpg's eram "boring traditional medievial RPG" mas eu não concordo que apenas ele seja "transformado" para pc, ps3 e etc...O que concerteza arrebatou mais fans foram os FF VI, VII, VIII e IX e não apenas o VII...E particularmente o que eu mais gosto é o IX

yeah.This game change Final Fantasy.Without it, 8,9,10,11,12..... other games after VII WOULDN'T BE EXIST.Before VII, every RPG game is always the boring traditional medivial RPG (well in my view) ,until this game born.Thank God for this very creative game.

sigh, this is a tech demo, cant anybody read these days -_-, it means that they used this video to show the power of the ps3 at a event and what other famous video clip other than FF7 opening???
