if your going to compare mike to patterson thats foolish because cus documented on video when tyson was 18 was faster than patterson + you know ali fought a guy named cooper & was ko'd in 2 rounds so he wasn't invincabe anyway either of them could have won remember tyson's head movement & he barely lost a round when he was with kevin rooney tyson hits way harder than foreman ali said this on a talk show he said who has foreman ko'd out cold everyone kept getting up .he's got a point

Man I could not agree with you more. The sheer terror Mike infused into the boxing world has not been matched before or since. Imagine where he would have been Had Cus D'Amato not died.

You know fighters like Mike Tyson and MA, They come once maybe every 50 years or so. It makes you wonder when the next generation fight like these guys will come.

Mike was the greatest pure talent heavyweight boxer weve ever seen. The fact that he is a joke now is due to drugs and the wrong kind of "friends". Mike was always EXTREMELY impressionable and insecure. Mix that with a bunch of hoodlum groupies, Don King, and drugs and well....the rest is history. Mike COULD of been the greatest ever.

I don't want to take anything away from Mike, like I said he is my favorite boxer of all time. I mean he was showing the natural abiilty at 15. I can't help but think like a lot of Ali fans do, what would Mike have done if he didn't lose that time from being locked up. Better yet, what would he have done if he didn't fire Roony and went with that weaker trainer. He wouldnt have lost to Buster, and continued dominating the class into the late 1990's. I'd say 10-12 years as Champ

I grew up in the Tyson era too. Your points are dead on. I would say a good way to compare how Tyson would do against Ali, look at the 2 fights Ali had with Floyd Patterson(coached by D'mato). People say knock out this, knock out that. BS. Ali would have eventually got into Mikes head in the later rounds, then pulled away on points. He never dropped Patterson(TKO in 1st fight was standing) However MT was never in the class of Patterson(Documented) Yes Mike has the strenth(so did Foreman).
