True... but I'm speaking from a mainstream rock point of view. I'm an "indie rocker" (whatever that is at this point in indie rock) and I listen to stuff like DFA1979, Brainiac, Deerhoof... ya kno shit like that and yes these bands do sound drugged up. But, at the same time if these bands keep sticking to their anti-MTV guns (I hate it just as much as they do MTV sold music out) then it's not really a movement cause they kinda hold it underground and won't give it the chance to change things...

All of this war on drugs shit is why music sux now! SO there were a couple casualties... but look at what we have years later because of it... this stuff, Jimi's stuff, Janis, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and so on... Now look at it all... Fall out boy and Panic at the fuckin disco... how horrible... give my generation our drugs back. |
