This song suited the original UK series of Life on Mars and goes well with the US version also. I hadnt realised the Ashes to Ashes was another Bowie song, and the sequel to the UK series 2 is a series called Ashes to Ashes.

same here, i listened to it while watching the new show, and it fit perfectly, it was awestriking when he sang the chorus and then the dude in the show was shocked at seen the world trade center standing again...that was pretty awesome as well as this song n.n
