I don't wanna spoil too much, but Anakin Solo was afraid of the Dark Side; he thought he would end up like his grandfather Darth Vader, so he resisted it. His older brother, Jacen Solo, would later betray the Jedi, becoming Darth Caedus. Also, Jacen's twin sister Jaina Solo experimented with Dark Side powers, but she later abandoned them. She is currently a Jedi Knight and is under the tutelage of her uncle, Grand Master Luke Skywalker.

im sorry i was wrong he actually was on the council during the first two movies. The movies did not show everyone was on the council. im currently reading the comics and i get confused with the timelines.Knights of the old republic is an asome comic you should try and read it. it's still on going.
