Are you stupid or just illiterate? Please re-read my comment. A 250lb guy benching 495 is a BETTER POWERLIFTER. A 300lb guy benching 500 is STRONGER. That is not even debatable. In real life absolute strength is what matters, but in competition relative strength is king.Way to argue with me when you say the exact same thing. Try sounding smart elsewhere.

how do you figgure? You do reps with bench and squats, so why would you just do singles for deads?

That skinny guy in the begining has bad form though. It is pretty amazing, but at the same time, he's all bent over, and his back is arched. I'm not a champion powerlifter or anything, but I'd bet he couldn't stand up straight in the morning.

ok, how about a 28yr old, 5-8, 250lbs powerlifter who benches 400lbs.now, a 40yr old, 6-10, 260lbs powerlifter who benches 400lbs.how about this. one guy weighs 250 %10 bodyfat, another guy weighs 250 %30 bodyfat. they both bench 400lbs. my point is, there's more to relative strength than simply being lighter or heavier. but absolute strength is all the matters.

a 250lbs guy benching 495 is BETTER than a 300lbs guy benching 500??? NO WAY. you can talk about every factor you want, age, past histories, medical complications, diets, bone size, genetics, pedigree, years of training blah blah blah; STRONGER is BETTTER. |
