It's comparing a 1.8 million euro car with a 165.000 euro car. It's 11 times more expensive. That is like comparing a BMW M3 with a Fiat Panda. It would be a damn waste of money if the Veyron didn't eat R8's for breakfast.

i dont think it depends on the type of fuel injection, as long as it can deliver enough fuel/air mixture then it only depends on the amount of stress the engine can take from the pistons - if you have a short stroke engine the pistons dont move as fast at the same rpm as a long stroker so the engine can rev higher and produce more power
