To jakubpetricek: That's quite possible, I just went with the rumour. It's very difficult to find any factual information about Martin's family. I even heard that his biological father was of a black origin.

True or not, the lyrics are powerful, thought provoking. You, live the dilema of life's struggle with God, and you feel the outrage to confront God. Depeche Mode are true "artists" to create such provacative lyrics. It made me feel the experience of losing someone. They show their genius in their creativity written in this song.

I read that this is not true...it is a rumour that Martin wrote it because of his own expereince..

this video was not made by DM.. check closing credits.. some US students final project.. so no I don't think it was ever released on a DVD but you can check with the filmmakers

enyone remember same fragments as I do, a really early video - jello-puddings on a rolling factoryband and the guys stand and drum on those?Or am I confusing with other group?
