I think pearl jam was trying to say that the boy's parents/teachers/classmates/somebody should have seen the signs beforehand that the boy was troubled and gotten him help

this reminds me of a boy named connor wilkinsona few weeks ago, he committed suicideeveryone made fun of him, and he was very smart. RIP CONNOR WILKINSONhe was only 13 years old

I know what you mean... I'm 25 and this is the very first time I'm seeing the uncensored version. Especially in light of all the school shootings that have occured the past decade or so. I mean we need to ban what is really harmfull, and let things that can be used for discussion of serious problems be. I agree 100%

What pisses me off about our society was that MTV and other music video stations SHOULD have showed this version all along. I can't imagine what it must've been like for those kids in that class that day. What a disservice we do to our kids that to censor this video, instead of using it as a vehicle for discussion. I believe I was about 11 or 12 when this video came out, and I'm 26 and seeing the uncensored version for the first time ever tonight. Sad.
