yep thats what i am talking about. and watch when they get too old to be punks they turn into rockabillys it's a trip I see it all the time

Have to say I find myself agreeing with you. Shamefully I've found that a lot of punks around are what I like to call "Drink Drank Punks" (after the Anti-Flag song). You don't 'need' to be a 'real punk' to me, but these people simply join the subgroup and make it their daily job to reflect how non-conformatively and punk they are, all the while missing the actual meaning behind punk.

i agree i listen to a lot of metal and hardcore stuff and punk but i love ska too. ska is happy music and most metal and punk fans want to appear angry and sad and just pissed at the world in general. that is just my theory
REALMozared (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
I'm still at a loss at how people can possible NOT like ska... I generally listen to metal and punk but I have to say Ska is more addictive and swinging than any bands I can name in those genres. Each his own I suppose, I just think it's odd.
