I can't believe I never heard of this movie til I saw that Frontline Assembly video. I wish I could have seen this on the big screen. It's like Bladerunner meets Robotjocks! Thanks for posting this!

I have to give them credit for having guts. They made a full sized animatronic mecha that can actually change form. No movie these days will dare to do that without using CGI. Granted some scenes were models. But those are quite effective.

Even though a lot of the young people growing up now would view this is old and silly, I disagree. This movie has been a major part of my life in the early to late 80's. The old Cyberpunk/Mech days. I have this on DVD and the Soundtrack on CD and I still watch and listen to GUNHED to this day. Even though it is partial english/jap, I personally prefer this version. The voice overs of the japanese Actors isnt that good. I would love for them to make another movie someday!
