TheAppleCiderBrigade.....Love it. You've made my day too. Couldn't have said it better. I'll comment again after I've stopped laughing.

If the horse's head is bend with nose significantly closer to the body than the poll is, than this is cruel. However, in this case, as kken stated, the horse's head is perpendicular to the ground, which is what a Dressage frame is supposed to look like. There are moments, however, when the horse's head appears to be bent in a cruel manner, because of awkward filming angles.

xharrix123: You might be thinking of rollkur which is awful and has finally been banned by FEI. This horse has never been subjected to it. Notice her face is perpendicular to the ground. She is perfect and having a great time.

xharrix123Andreas has VERY soft hands, this is not painful at all, does she look like she is in pain to you...? Because she looks content and happy to me. In dressage, this is the absolute meaning of contact, it varies from sport to sport. Each sport has different requirments. Matinee is beautiful and this kur is amazing. A horse in pain will not perform like that, reguardless of others saying so. Horses naturally carry their heads like this all the time, mine does it to be cocky ;)

I dont think this is right.. (i dont know alot about dressage so correct me if im wrong) but look how close the horses head is to its chest, this isint natural and painful (ive heard) and can cause long term damage. i understand rein contact but not to this extent i always thought rein contact was feeling the horses mouth not its head!! (soft hands at that) i never reli thought that the olympics encouraged cruelty but.. (like i said if im wrong say =]& sorry for long post)
